Ron de Bruijn

Papendrecht, Netherlands

Ron de Bruijn is co-founder at Riskonet. After many years helping major corporations manage their risks at international insurers and brokers, he increasingly found that his advisory role was at odds with commercial interests. When his position was terminated in 2012 due to restructuring, he saw an opportunity to continue the independent advisory philosophy he had always believed in. Together with Tom de Nooij, he founded Riskonet in 2013 based on a clear principle: organizations must regain control of their risks instead of becoming directionless between regulatory demands and insurer requirements.

Based in the Netherlands, Ron works with both Dutch and international clients. He supports organizations in developing risk policies, conducting operational risk assessments and optimizing insurance programs. “We don’t work for insurers, contractors or brokers—we work with them. We work only for the end client,” he explains. Ron also delivers training programs and advises on occupational safety and fire protection.
