Özlem Emgen
Özlem Emgen is a Partner at Riskonet Turkey, the first international member of the Riskonet network. With a background in environmental engineering, she focuses on environmental risks, occupational health and safety and business continuity. Since 2014, she has built long-term relationships with clients—primarily in the energy sector—combining deep local market knowledge with the strength and expertise of an international network.
Based in Turkey, Özlem works mainly with clients in the energy industry, including thermal, wind, hydro and geothermal power. She also supports organizations in sectors such as cement, textiles and pharmaceuticals. She conducts due diligence studies, assesses compliance levels and identifies improvements across environmental, safety and social risks. Many of her assignments involve long-term engagements with regular monitoring and follow-up.

Within Riskonet, Özlem advises on risk reduction, develops and monitors risk policies and supports risk transfer to insurers. She conducts audits in environmental, occupational health and safety and social impact, and supports organizations in implementing ISO certifications including ISO 22301, ISO 9000, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 50001. Her focus also includes supply chain management, product recalls and crisis management, and she delivers safety-related training programs to strengthen organizational resilience.
